Do I need to book...?

NO & YES!

CIRQ strongside / engine / watt & LIFT = book your class

CIRQ flex (8.45am - 5.15pm) = NO NEED TO BOOK, just turn up and give us your name

What to expect from a class...

45 minutes of non-stop full body fitness (including a warm-up and cool down). In CIRQ and LIFT you'll travel around 9 or 7 stations respectively, with clear instruction what to do at each zone. Screens, lighting and interval beeps work alongside our coach to ensure you are fully aware of what to do and making sure you do not lose one second of your fitness time

Do I need to be super fit?

CIRQ and LIFT sessions have been designed to be open to ALL fitness levels. You train at individual zones in a group environment, meaning you can focus in on yourself and your personal best. All we ask is you push yourself and just grab whatever kit/weight works for you and move. Our coaches are well versed in helping you switch-up an exercise if it's not right for you

Changing Rooms and Showers

We have x6 showers in each changing room, fully kitted out with Rituals product.

We also provide;

  • keyless padlocks
  • towels (shower, sweat and cold post-workout face towel)

What's the difference between classes?

CIRQ consists of 3 class types, all designed to support the same goal - full body fitness

  • ENGINE expect rapid movements as you motor around the circuit and push your limits. Your body will thank you as you burn up calories 38 hrs after the session. Equipment is used, although we encourage lighter resistance and a focus on higher reps. ENGINE is pretty relentless - expect little rest
  • STRONGSIDE hones in on metabolic conditioning, straddling that elusive ground which promotes muscle and also taps into your EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) to encourage fat burn. Expect a hybrid of cardio and resistance intervals with lots of functional equipment (we recommend using what you'd consider a moderate weight).
  • POWER is our power-play. Exert max force as you box-jump, burpee, hop and hurdle around the zones. Don't fret, there is some respite with strength/core exercises amongst the plyometrics. The power movements boost muscle endurance, whilst elevating heart-rate and promoting large calorie burn - the hiit dream

LIFT classes focus on low-impact full body strength training, light on the jumping yet heavy on the resistance. The LIFT circuits are designed to focus on muscle tone and strength gains across all major muscle groups and promote rock solid foundations

FLEX is our circuit built to work to your time. A pre-programmed fully-immersive HIIT & Strength circuit that you can jump into and out of whenever works for you

What about the FLEX class?

A pre-programmed easy to follow circuit which is open for you to train at any time between 8.45am through to 5.15pm (last entry we recommend is 4.45pm)

Train for a full 40min circuit, cut it short or double up - it's your fitness time. A coach monitors the FLEX sessions and are at hand for any questions.

Do CIRQ and LIFT work in harmony?

In short, yes.

CIRQ and LIFT was designed to give you the most efficient route to promote full body fitness. The fitter you get in CIRQ increases your vo2 max and cardio output which in turn increases your muscular stamina during LIFT, especially during rest periods. And equally, gains in LIFT increases your muscular strength which in turn helps you move more powerfully in CIRQ

FACT. Muscles have a higher metabolic rate than fat, so the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn (including at rest!)

Are the classes similar?

Whilst each class has its own focus and their own unique movements, you can find some exercises will crossover between them. For example, mountain climbers and push-ups will be relevant for most class types, whereas broad jumps and tuck jumps are mainly found in WATT. You will also find some crossover between exercises found in LIFT and in CIRQ. When this is the case, it's the tempo and weight used which is the focus to tap into different energy systems

When should I arrive?

For CIRQ and LIFT we highly recommend you arrive at the scheduled start time so you're totally clear on what exercises are involved and you can get warm!

FLEX sessions, however, come in whenever suits! A coach will be available to assist

Cancellation policy?

CIRQ / LIFT - you can cancel up to 12hrs before the scheduled class

FLEX - you can cancel your FLEX credit 1 minute before the window starts - total flexibility

If you have the FLEX unlimited - don't need to worry about cancellation

Health & Safety Agreement

The management and staff of CIRQ are dedicated to help you make the most of the facilities and services we offer. With this in mind, we have carefully considered what we can reasonably expect of each other.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

  • We will respect your personal decisions and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise beyond what you consider to be your own abilities
  • Everybody is welcome. If you tell us that you have a disability which puts you at a substantial disadvantage in accessing our equipment and facilities, we will consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make
  • Our team. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that our staff are qualified to the fitness industry standards [as set out by the Register of Exercise Professionals]
  • Our premises. We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US

  • You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you use our equipment and facilities you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice
  • You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices. Exercise carries its own risks. You should not carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you
  • You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be a person available who has had first-aid training
  • You should notify your instructor of any existent or new medical conditions before you commence a class in any of our studios
  • If you have a disability, you must follow any reasonable instructions to allow you to exercise safely

ADULT Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire

If you currently have or have had in past any of the below, you should enquire with a doctor to check that you are safe to undertake physical activity in your current state of health, before signing/electronically accepting this declaration and joining any of our classes.

  • History of heart problems, chest pains, or stroke within your family
  • Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV
  • Poor eyesight or eye injury
  • Psychiatric or drug issues
  • Seizures
  • Significant head or brain injury
  • Sickle Cell disease
  • Increased or low blood pressure
  • Advice from doctor stating not to exercise
  • Surgery within the last 12 months
  • Pregnancy now or within the last 3 months
  • History of breathing or lung problems
  • Muscle, joint, or back disorder
  • Diabetes or thyroid condition
  • Hernia or condition that may be aggravated by lifting weights
  • Surgical implants or implanted devices
  • Epilepsy
  • Heightened sensitivity to sound or light
  • Loss of consciousness, or falling over due to dizziness
  • I hereby confirm I do not have, and have not had in the past, any of the above, or any other condition not previously mentioned that I feel should be mentioned.

I can confirm this to be true and by accepting this declaration, in respect of activity in CIRQ classes I agree that:

I have read the medical questionnaire above and responded fully and honestly.

I am responsible for monitoring my own physical and medical condition, including during physical exercise.

If, after completing the questionnaire above, I know of any change in my physical or medical condition which would affect my answers if I were to complete it again, I will notify CIRQ before taking part in any class or physical activity organised or provided by CIRQ.

I confirm I have voluntarily chosen to participate in any/all classes offered by CIRQ and I will use equipment correctly, safely, and as instructed

I fully understand that if I am physically or verbally abusive to the trainers, assistants or other patrons, or if I behave in a manner inconsistent with the coaches’ instructions and are overly aggressive or abusive to other members, I will be asked to leave immediately.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By signing/electronically accepting this form, I confirm I have read and understood CIRQ’s T&C [also found online at www.cirq.life ] and to the fullest extent permitted by law, I assign, waive and release any and all rights to any claim for damages I may or might have against CIRQ or its staff, instructors or coaches for any injury or damage suffered to myself or to my property during my participation in classes, events, activities, and using the studio facilities and equipment organised or provided by CIRQ.
